Dallas has certainly not lagged behind it's traditional rival, evidenced
by the terrific La Duni Latin Cafe, an exciting, quite casual new place
specializing in the foods of Latin America. The place is smart looking,
the prices low and the service very, very appealing. Begin your meal with
arepas criollas of white corn masa patties or plantains topped with black
beans, beef and white cheese. The quesadillas are excellent, the salads
lavish and pastry chef Duni Borga makes some of the most scrumptious big
desserts in Texas, including tall layered rum cake and triple truffle chocolate
cake. |
