Corn Arepas

| Ingredients |
2 1/2 cups lukewarm
water
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups PAN, pre-cooked white cornmeal |

| Procedure |
1. Pour water into a bowl
and add salt.
2. Slowly add cornmeal and knead until smooth and firm.
3. Hand mold cakes to 2 1/2" diameter by 1" thick.
4. Place on slightly greased hot plate or skillet. Allow a hard crust
to form on both sides then place in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees
until done, about 10-15 minutes. |
